I’m excited to share that my latest exhibition is now live at StudioG in Rome! Opened on October 30, this new series of NFTs was crafted specifically for this show. Curated by Giuseppe Stagnitta in collaboration with Satyrus Meta Art and Domvs - two major Italian forces in promoting digital culture - this exhibition dives deep into the evolving landscapes of NFTs and Web 3.0.
As Str4ngeThing, I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of art and technology, exploring how AI can serve as both collaborator and tool. For me, each pixel represents the harmony between artist and algorithm, a partnership that allows me to reimagine classical art masterpieces with modern, streetwear-inspired figures in Renaissance settings. With each piece, I ask a broader question: What is real? How much of the digital world feels as authentic as the physical world we perceive around us?
One of the core ideas behind this series is “false memories,” where fragments of the past and present merge, creating something surreal yet familiar. The Mandela Effect has been a key inspiration here - it’s that fascinating phenomenon where collective memory distorts or rewrites history. By blending fashion-forward, futuristic figures into iconic Renaissance contexts, I hope to spark a cognitive “short circuit” in each viewer, a moment that prompts you to rethink memory, perception, and time itself.
Remaining anonymous as Str4ngeThing has always been a choice to focus attention squarely on the art. It’s not about marketing or mystique, but rather about letting the work speak on its own terms. I first started this digital journey on August 13, 2022, with my debut NFT, and the anonymity has allowed me to keep the art center stage, exploring themes that feel timeless and unfixed to a single identity.
This exhibition at StudioG is a portal into a world where past, present, and future blend seamlessly, inviting you to question the boundaries of memory, reality, and AI’s role in shaping our perception. Through Str4ngeThing, I hope to offer a glimpse into these possibilities, opening new spaces for reflection on what we hold as “real.” If you’re in Rome, I’d love for you to visit, experience the work firsthand, and join me in this exploration.
